Be Heard!!!!

If you haven't yet been paying attention to current events, Occupy Wall street is on to its third week and growing in momentum. For those who don't know this protest consists of a myriad of organizations, demanding economic equality and Stricter laws to govern corporations and their participation in government. It is the greed and near sightedness of corporate America that is destroying our country's future (including its people's). I'm heading down to NYC this weekend to lend my support to Occupy Wall street. Wherever you are try and make your voice heard. This is a battle against the injustices that our government have permitted to slip through the cracks. It's time to redeem this once glorious nation.

For the first time in my own life I feel a burning patriotic desire to defend my country. If you feel the same way please visit occupywallstreet.org and take part in a country-wide plea for change. Fellow Buffalonians, please visit Occupy Buffalo's Facebook page to find out when our rallies are. Thank you!

Ill get off my soapbox now...

So after 3 weeks My 25 architectural illustrations are complete! Here are a few more that I made over a 12 hour drawing streak. If you don't mind I'm going to busy myself with building some maps as well. Enjoy!

Buffalo gets a make-over!

Well not exactly. For a new project at EMA, I am hand drawing 24 locations in  buffalo for a booklet. This will range from Shea's theatre, Darwin Martin house, Nash house, and St. Paul's to name a few. Here is a little taste of what I've been working on. More to come soon!

The Big Tip Off Begins!

Recently at Eric Mower I was given a few hours to come up with a banner teaser for the advertising club of buffalo. The event is a fundraiser for a scholarship fund. After a few hours this what we came up with. The background can be attributed to Jordan Case, my awesome overseer of operations.

Oh, and I made had to do some packaging too. Hand die-cuts! Woooo!

Today is my first day with Eric Mower and Associates. For those who don't know, this is an ad agency that has an interesting clientele spanning the country over 6 offices. Here at the Buffalo office I have my own office and am diligently working on my first project. Day one and I already get to design packaging and signage. So much to do! In the next few days i'll have some cool new drawings to share so stay tuned!

Seriously, I actually do graphic design work!

Unbeknownst to many, I actually do graphic design work once in a while. In recent times I have been working on a new logo for the Buffalo Audubon Society.

Even though it made more sense to use an egret as a focal point, they chose the mighty beaver instead. Here's what I boiled my work down to. I would love to hear some input on this little fella. One thing is for certain, he has the cutest little nubby hands...   ...Ever.

New pieces and the Lewiston Art Festival!

This years Lewiston Art Festival really pushed me to complete a new series of random works. One of the pieces was actually started, completed, and sold while at the festival! I feel like I've come home wealthy with kind words and a lot of inspiration. Huge props go out to Emily Chamberlain and Stephanie Dukat for their wonderful ceramic works and prize winning pieces!

These new pieces are a response to creating wood pieces without the help of wood tools. I can't wait to be able to utilize the studio's supplies, but until then ill have to do my cutting with a hacksaw and a lot of patience. I feel both compositions came out nicely. Just a sneak peak though to the madness that'll begin next month.

Up and Running!

Surfacing from a pile of recent projects I finally found the time to hatch a blog. Hopefully in the coming weeks you will get a sneak peek at new works and projects I've been working on. I'll leave you with a painting I concocted a few months ago. Enjoy!
